Elaine Catton has been a freelance automotive journalist for more than two decades. Her print outlets over the years have included Automotive News (International), European Car (USA) and Automotive Engineer (UK). She has also been a regular contributor to Audi Driver (UK), Volkswagen Driver (UK), quattro quarterly (USA) and ettore, the Bugatti customer magazine. More recently, she has also worked in audio and visual media as a writer, producer, presenter and expert voice. While covering all aspects of the automotive sector, Elaine specialises in future mobility, new and legacy powertrain, environmental issues, design and German automotive brands.

As well as ghost writing articles and social-media posts for clients, Elaine writes the occasional piece for her own blog. As part of a Masters project, she also built a news website covering automotive and transportation topics in Scotland, called Scotland in Motion.
